Realized in the Alucra district of Giresun, this modern stone house project brings two distinct textures of natural stone to the exterior facade with a flawless architectural contrast. The Bayburt Olive stone, applied to the main exterior walls, features a split-face finish. This textured surface creates beautiful shadows under the sunlight, adding a strong and dynamic character to the structure.
To balance this rugged natural texture and frame the building with a modern touch, smooth-cut Ivory Bayburt Tuff stone was selected for the window jambs and vertical moldings. The bright and smooth surface of the ivory tuff perfectly highlights the wild texture of the split-face olive stone. This unique stone house unites the enduring strength of nature with clean modern lines on a single facade. Providing breathability and superior natural insulation against Alucra’s demanding climate, this project stands as a prime example of innovative stone house aesthetics.
